1280-X Aquanaut leak fixing

I have no complaints with this one...I bought the 1280 around 1990 and this is the first time it has sprung a leak. I started getting the erratic falsing yesterday while hunting a local lake. I figured the battery box flooded and the gasket would need replacing, but the box was high and dry. I then noticed the condensation inside my LED. Other than the faceplate, which appears tight, the only other place I figure it could leak is behind the control knobs. Has anyone ever re-sealed their 1280 after a leak? Has anyone sent such a problem to Fisher...how much and turn around time? I'll be calling them either way tomorrow. Thanks for any responses.

NOW, if you're sure I'm me. (How many times do I have to log in, for crying out loud)
As I said in the last lost post. Fisher stands behind their machines, a heck of a lot more than the Aussie guys do. Call them, and send it in. It sure ain't no good the way it is, and YES, I would think they've had a flooded unit once or twice since 1990. Good luck.
