1270

well i've had the 1270 and it kicks but, slight edge over the 1266 and acording to mr bill i had chatted with him one time about this and him and bill ladd tried them out and the in all metal they were the same depth but in disc mode the f-75 had it beat by an inch or so if i remember corectly, now the freq are all different on these machines the 1266 being 4.8 khz the 1270 8.2 khz and the f-75 13khz the 1266 would have the slight upper hand on the silver, the only thing i did'nt like on the 1270 is that the pinpoint is really wide on coin size targets.

I was left a 1266X when my dad passed away it was almost like new he did not like it because he dug to many nails so he went back to his 1260.I have 2 minelabs and hunted this park with them found a lot of stuff was going to sell 1266x so took it to park to make sure it worked and found 5 barber dimes and 2 gold rings and yes I did dig a lot of square nails but ground was dry and it punched down I see the 1270 has Iron mask feature will this help with the square nails I was pretty impressed with 1266X for a 15 year old machine it got me second guessing my minelabs.I hunted with garrets and whites dad was diehard fisher man.
