1270 WAS HOT TODAY until......

Well I was out the door by 6:30 A M this morning walked down to local park.Thank God no rain two weeks of it was enough, it was bright and sunny morning temp was 53. Put 1270 on normal disc 6, sens 3,vol 3. started hitting the grass around basketball court its good for clad. When I hit a good sounding target raised coil up about 6 inch or more to see if it was shallow. Then I was using tip of the 8 inch concentric coil to narrow down target. I came across using this method the other night in bedroom playing with it.As other 1270 users know it can be hard to pinpoint target with 1270 it can hit over such a big area under coil.Anyhow this worked very well for me this morning.,and I was in tune with what 1270 was telling me the suttle snaps and pops and bips of the 1270 was talking to me.And there was fresh clad to be found laying in the grass.I would use main coil and follow up with the 6X probe. I learned something about the 6X today too.let it go come completely chatter free from its holder before trying to use it right away.Even if you have to wait a bit., It was a quarter clad day today fresh quarters laying in grass my take in one little area 8 shiny quarters,2 dug up nickles short clippy sounding,2 dug up dimes, 7 dug up pennies, and then flashing red light batteries went dead and no spares with me !!! I got in 1 hour hunt and me and 1270 were one in tune with each other. BEST OF ALL NO BONKERS ......

Woodchuck,

That's good news

Maybe someday somebody will have a Bonkers day and we can figure out what set the 1270 off that day. So far mine acts about the same all the time, after the FT repair.

Good Hunting,

Ron WV
