1270 warranty ??

Maybe I can get an answer to my question on this forum. I tried contacting Fisher and no reply. Now, I even wonder if I want to deal with them.
Anyway, I asked about the 1270 anniversary warranty. Most sites that I have came across list the five year limited warranty. I have heard of a lifetime warranty offer and did see this:
http://fisherlab.com/hobby/field-tests/1270FieldTestWandE.pdf
line 20-21
which states a lifetime warranty.
Also, are all the 1270's anniversary additions and if not what year is the anniversary addition.
I currently use Whites, Minelab, and Tesoro machines and have had good service through them and the lifetime warranty from Tesoro is terrific.

Thanks, Kevin

Mr. Bill, do you work for Surfscanner, and if so can you answer the warranty question please. Is there still lifetime warranty available with the 1270 ?

Didnt know that!!..
Since he wasnt getting answers to his post here,{publicly anyhow} I thought I'd post a site that *I knew* was sanctioned by Fisher;..... Just trying to help out a "Fellow Fisher User" .

The lifetime warranty would apply to only those new, un-sold units that are held by Fisher dealers before the transition to First Texas ownership. After that point there all 5 years.

Other words, if you can find a legitimate Fisher dealer that still has pre-First Texas Fishers in stock with the lifetime warranty, the company will honor the warranty. This can not be a used one that had a lifetime warranty, and you want to carry it over to second ownership. Lifetime to the original owner only, and one needs the original bill of sale to use the warranty.

Thanks guys, I don't know if there are any new from dealer original 1270's left out there on someones shelf, but if I can find one I think I will buy it, if not I will try for a good used one. Again thanks for the help.
