1270 Questions

Hi folks, I read where the 1270 is a relic hunter & was wondering if it is a good coin hunter too. I have heard where the 1270 is heavy and is not balanced very well. I have heard that they are noisey also. Just looking for some thoughts about the 1270 from any of you that has used them. Thanks much. Steve.

P.S. I understand that there is a primary and a secondary disc, setup something like on the Tesoro Tejon but I can't seem to figure out how a person does this as by looking at a picture of the 1270 there is only one "regular" type disc. and one for iron. I know on the Tejon there are two seperate disc. dials that are labeled the same.

hey ski whiz i've had the 1270 and its a kick but machine deep, the only thing i don't care for is the pinpoint is wide on small targets if your coin hunting like i was i ran like this flip the iron switch on and crank iron disc all the way up, then run the normal mode at 5 this will keep nickels in then to get normal mode you would press the trigger out and on this you have to sweep slow run sens at 4-5 have a video on the 1270 to give you an idea on sound go to youtube and type in travelinjavelin and the 1270 will pop up and the 1236x2 as well

Good Info Jave you got it down just right. Ski it is a little heavy think about a chest or hip mount, mine works super no more arm or back pain, got pics posted on every detector site.
