1270 Question.

Why does this machine get treated like a Red Head Step Child. It seems like the 1270 takes a back seat to the 1266x when it comes to posting on all forums and the sale of the 1266x is as much or more then the 1270...

My thoughts why, the 1270 had a few design flows that I know about, one was a problem with the control box getting loose and in some cases it would break off, another was the battery compartment covers were easy to come open and lose them. Now this isn't a design problem but the the 1270 is heaver and doesn't feel as good as the 1266x. Another thing the 1266x was out long before the 1270 and a lot of people got real attached to their old 1266x's. I can remember back in the day when there was still a lot of silver coins in the ground coming home with 5 to 10 nice silver coins. It's all about the good old days, and what you remember how good you did with that old 1266x and you want to do it again.

I have had a 1265x, 1266x and now have a 1270, when it comes to performance the 1266x doesn't hold a candle to the 1270. I had both and the 66 and 70 at the same time and after some testing, I put the 1266x up for sale.

Just a little analogy, I got my first deer why back in in 1975 with a new 50cal muzzel loader rifle, I have went through meny good rifles and lots of deer sence then. I am now getting the same now old (me to) 50cal out to try and take my last deer.

It's all about bring back the good old days.
