1270 question

I was wondering if the 1270 looses depth or not with higher disc setting? I have noticed that other detectors do and is stated in the manuals, but so far I I haven't seen that statement in the 1270 manual.

Written or un-written I've never seemed to believed that with the 1270, she goes deep even with high DISC. and 5" incredible. Never had the pleasure of using the 3.5.

I have a 1265,1266,f75(old model)MXT and 1270. The 1270 is king of the hill. Put the iron switch on 7 the normal mode discrimination on 6 and go! Super depth and excellent seperation. This works especially well in Rev War sites with lots of iron.

But does it have the great modulated audio of the 1265? Some say the 1265 is the smoothest and best running all around 1200 Fisher made. All the ones I find seem to be beat to death.
