1270 Hip Mount Completed

Credit goes to Kieth-TX for the basis model design I just modified his mount to fit my needs. This is the "BEST" if you can't take the 3.5 weight of the 1270. Not hard to make if you have a welder or bring the pic's to a welding shop, they should be able to make them for you cheap. I know I talked about taking the handle off but thought against it cause the control box housing nut and bolt will become loose and go up and down in the box and may hit something electrical inside also that will void the warranty to open the box to tighten the bolt. (checked all that out first) A coil with a 7" cable is needed to use the hip mount. I'm still tring to find an 8" w/7' cable, So here's what I did I took an extension cable from my 555-D (have 3 cables) and the cable end housing covers are reversed so I cut it in half and swapped the end cover to the plug ends and spliced the cable back together. tried if out on my 1265X and everything worked fine, put it ont the 1270 and "A" "OK" even have pinpointing. Any question just drop me a line need a pic of the cable before and after let me know.

More pic's in next post.

i hope its more comfortable than it looks yeah i've gotton use to the weight of mine finaly my left arm now is a lot bigger than my right LOL! hey shooter great set up for sure!

Believe me its so comfortable, and swings like a breeze, detecting a lot longer and no fatigue. Making another one out of 1" nylon webbing will be a lot lighter with ADJ.height so it will go high on the chest for freshwater lakesthis should be pretty easy to make.
