1270 discrimination

Where do you all set your discrimination in super trashy sites on the 1270? I am just starting to get the feel of this machine and I'm almost afraid its to sensitive for this trash filled area.

798, 7 to 8 on the Disc. but drop the SEN. to about 4 or less or the crack and pop will drive you nut 1270 with max SEN in super trash will kill you so keep that don at the begining. It will pull the coins of top top of the Disc. Mode with no problems, i've set it at 10 and had no problems getting coins, you will lose gold and nickels at that high DISC. but clean all the coin at high DISC. and after that drop it down and dig a lot. If its that trashy try this it help to center with an end in mid . 4small stakes set 10'x10 ' so not to big and you can center on an area at a time., start DISC high work it close pattern, overlap at least 1/4 coil size, scan from one side to the other then do the opposite size then corner to corner each different pass lower DISC and Up the SEN a hair keep doing that and you won't get pissed off with the trash cause you have an ultimate gold of just one area at a time and by the time you get to DISC 4 and SEN 8 or 9 you will be deep area cleaned out of trash and good targets coming up. REMEMBER everybody who hits a real trashy area gets frustrated and leaves its guys that stick it out and clean it up find the good stuff..........

5" coil work real slow can help pull the good signals out of the bad, THE KEY IS SLOOOOW. Any other help let me know

hey 798 he is the experienced one with the 1270 and you ought to see shooters pics of what he has found with this weapon its very capable thats for sure like anything got to learn it i'm just getting know my 1236x2 pretty well now if your interested just made another vid on youtube go to travelinjavelin and ck out the vids

Yea I know I need to just clean the site out (witch I found out today I can't hunt it anymore DNR land) it just seems the discrimination dosent have a lot of affect. I was learning it some more today and pulled a nickel in disc10. I set it at disc 8 and sencitvity 3 for the rest of today till I get very used to it. Amc do we get to see the 36 in action on this new video

haven't used my 1270 in a while and a friend is using it right now so him and his son can hunt a civil war balttlefield. i would think that 10 would knock out a nickle. make sure its the regular disc. and not the iron disc.
