Well I finished the 1270 chest mount and its real comfortable, doesn't get in the way when bending down or digging, stay close to the chest no flopping around. trying it in the water this weekend harness has adjustable height straps. I posted some pic's on the bench, I'll put some more on tomorrow with it on so you can see how it would fit, my camera lady is sleeping.

1270 Chest mount complete

My 1236x2 is so light that chest mount is kind of moot..
Nonetheless I keep several fisher coils mounted on different shafts for quick change,so is easier to chestmount the control box than rewinding cable around shaft whenever I change coils.and I,m sure also prolongs the cable life.
Tesoro and Fisher lowers are interchangeable.
13 pennies fit tightly between mounting ears on the fisher coils(My caliper is broken) makes a crude gauge.,
Oh Whites is not interchangeable with either fisher or tesor
lder white Eagle, DI,Etc will interchange with Spectrum except that the mounting hole on older units is smaller,so will interchange with newer Whites lowers but not Vise Versa.. I would like to know about Garret lowers,Ive recently seen several treasure aces go for as little as 50$, cheaper than buying a replacement Rod for Fisher.Maybe someone with different brands can try,.
Sorry for off topic but Then Be patient with Me,I have just bought used CZ5,and injured My back Before even taking it out of box .so feeling pretty useless otherwise

It is a nice detector,Ive used the 1266.
At my age I often chest mount my 123x2,but it has the mounting plates built in.
Just bought a CZ5 and I will probably wear it too
