1266x battery packs

has anyone tried the battery packs out of the garretts to see if they are compatible with the fisher 1266x packs?
 
Even though a different color..cosmetic design etc. most of these battery packs are interchangeable whether from a Fisher, Garrett or Tesoro....
 
Dan: Just picked up a 1266X and have to go with a generic battery holder. Could you tell me how an individual holder will slide into the 1266X. Will it be positive facing toward the center of the battery compartment or positive facing toward the outside of the compartment?
Any info yu have will be appreciated.
