1266/1270

A friend has both the 1266 and 1270, and both are in need of servicing.

Does Fisher/First Texas still work on these models, or does he need to look elsewhere for servicing?

Thanks in advance;

Greg (E.Tn)

Shoot Fisher a email first and if they don't service them anymore Google Broken Detectors.

Your welcome man tell your buddy he has a couple of the deepest detectors ever made!! And they will still keep up with the newest machines on the market.

ditto....

Greg,

Just call them and ask for Felix. They are great on the phone, but email is not their strong suite.

Greetings, pan4au! I've got recently acquired 1270. Would you share some of your experiences with yours? "Iron Disc" is a bit of a mystery to me. Duck!:ranting:

I haven't used it much. I have a bad shoulder and it's harder for me to swing it compared to the 1266. I need to learn to use my other arm.. I'd like to try it to find some more CW relics in this one trashy area that I sometimes search. I need to use it or sell.. It's too good of a machine to live in a closet.. There is a good video on youtube that will show you how to set it up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHe8z-1vhJI&t=507s
