1265X finds my first silver for 2011...

Got out today for a bit with my very first unit, "Old-Trusty" 1988 1265X. Pulled a nice 1945 P war-nickel....1-54 D wheatie, $1.26 in clad. Gold plated medallion-hanger, 1 junk ring and some other stuff..Froze but sure beat sittin around thinkin about detecting!

War nickel is a grt find. I intentionally hunt nickels in the hope of finding an older one. My last Buffalo was in pretty bad shape.
 
Good report, I can't wait to get one of my oldies out and try it. Honey do jobs was the reason I couldn't go out and play today.
