1265x coil - will the 10" really go deeper than 8"?

I was wondering if getting a 10" coil for my 1265x will really go any deeper than my solid 8" - I've had bad experiences with larger-than-standard coils on other marques of detector. The 8" is capable of finding stunningly small items (think TINY) which is an excellent ability here in the UK where ancient coins can be vanishingly small. I'm guessing that a 10" coil will lose me some of the tiny items, but might pull half-inch diameter coins up from deeper. The 8" goes seriously deep already, so is it really worth it? I need comments from someone hugely experienced with this issue (or as experienced as possible)...

All comments welcome...

Many thanks,

.......that depends on
the amount of man made iron in your ground
how much interference you experience while detecting
how fast you cover the ground
personally i would go for a smaller coil, less disc, more sens
a steady pace and good overlap.
I have tried big coils on different machines ,but it seems i
always go back to the small coil - high sens combo....

Hope this cleared things up a bit..
