1265-x

Hello I bought a 1265-x yesterday at a flea market for $20.00 and its in great shape and seems to work well. What I need to ask is where can I the owners manul for this model I tried Fisher with no luck.:geek:

Yep its been over 10 years since the 1265 was replaced by the 1266...Couple of options..request a 1266 manual as if I remember right the major difference is for extreme sens. you pull out one and push in the other knob but the 1265 is opposite of the 1266.
Look up Keith Wills on Google and his E-mail is brokendetector or something along that line. He has a bunch of manuals for older units and you might get lucky.
Get on the classifieds or even on this forum and have one of the fellows copy his 1265 manual and pays expenses which should be minimal at best. Lots of nice people on the forum and they should help you out...Do remember its a noisy detector and not broken if you hear snap, crackle and pop as its the nature of the beast, but deep as any....Hope I have helped and man you got a steal....

I just checked the website, and they don't have a 1265X manual available for download, but, they do have both the 1266X and 1266XB manuals. I'd do like Dan PA said, and download the 1266X manual. The manual is in .pdf format, so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader for it.
