1236X2 coming (I hope)

...I had Mr Bill email me with a fair deal on a 1236X2. If all goes well, Ill get it for Xmas. I have been wanting to get back to a small-box, beep & dig Fisher for a while, ever since I sold my 1266X.**

** I only regret two things:
1. I never went to a KISS concert back in the day.
2. Selling my 1266X.

I used a CZ7a Pro for awhile but just didnt like it. I hope this works out...

I had one and did well with it but sold it, wanting to try something else. Turns out it was better for here than those I tried out, at least my finds with it say so. I should have it by weeks end.

Dave,on the 1236x the sensitivity will have to be almost maxed out to gain your threshold.The threshold on this unit gives you more(like a turbo boost) information and depth on targets.I use a five inch coil on mine great separation and depth,hope the new Fisher works out.

It's been working pretty good at some of my old iron infested ghost town sites. I've got one of the rare 5X10 elliptical coils and it pretty much stays on my 1236.

I have strayed into the TID camp these last few years and, while I like it, I am finding that I just want to have a simple detector that I can set and forget, like back in the day.

I DO have a Vaquero, but it's different from the Fishers Ive had. While it is simple (well, somewhat), I wanted to give something else a shot in the role. And frankly, I liked my 1266 so much that I long to have something like it again.
