1236X Iron Setting

The manual is kinda vague on this. What happens when you turn it on?
Does the discrimination change to all metal since you rotate it to the
left? By the way, this is a KILLER machine and I've found a lot with
it. I also have a X-Terra 50 and a ID Excel and I find myself using
the 1236 more.

Good question. I never used it all that much, preferring to set the disc manually. When compared against a manual setting in the small nail range it seemed to operate the same to me with the usual pops and clicks on partially disced out iron. If you get a chance do some comparisons on some iron co-located targets between your preferred disc setting and the preset position and let us know the results.

from what ive seen experimenting with it.If you turn the silincer off you will pull the goodies out of the iron better it lets the disced out items bleed through with the snap pop sound but also unmasks the goodies that the silencer will kill when eliminating the snap pop noise. It works great with the silencer on just dosent get it all.

Ive seen it pull lots of stuff in the iron preset i never turn it out o that setting.

Theres apot inside right behind the disc knob that you can set for anywhere on the disc range they have it at about 4 but i have on ive set at about 3 internally when hunting for gun parts.

I like the option of setting it in the lock position then you now you're spot on not having to worry about it moving.

Good Hunting with it its a great machine.
