1235x coil??

Hi,I was wondering if a search coil from a 1235x would fit a 1265x also?? and if there is any difference mch between a 1235x and a 1235x2? Cheers in advance!

It is My understanding that the 1266 operates at 4.8Kh,and the 1225/1235-236x2 operate at 6.5khz,So the coils would be non-interchangeable.
Whites 5000/6000 series, eagle, spectrum, and xlt use the 6.5k frequency,as well as the garret ace 150/250,and some master hunters.
But I am waiting for an expert opinion before I plug Swap out My coils.I just bought a 1236x2,so hav a particular interest in this subject.

Cheers Monte, I will do a bit more research before I swap,I have a 1265x with possibly coil issues ,so to swap from my 1236x that I have just bought ,would have been handy. As you know a bit about 1236x ,yours being a 1236x2 ,and I,m not sure of the difference ,what advantage does the variable frequency have ,apart from being beneficial to you around other close users? Cheers now, Anthony

not only for competition, but sometimes I am able to minimize falsing around electric lines at high sens by changing ops frequencies.
so far my only complaint is that after 20 years of Whites VCO pinpointing I am having some pinpointing problems with fisher.!236x also has VCO but still.
It seems to center towards front of coil, but I may be wrong as I,m still having problems.
