1235-x info please

Hi there, I'm considering buying a S/H 1235-x m scope, can anyone tell me if the coil is waterproof & how this machine performs near salt water, any good?? Thanks....
 
but the control box isn't. It will probably chatter in the wet salt sand. You may need to decrease the Sens. and increase the Disc. a bit to make it stable.

If I remember right, the 1280X is basically a 1235X in a waterproof case. Look at some posts about the 1280X in saltwater and see what those say.
