120 vs 180

I have read that my new Outlaw has an ed120 and if l am not wrong the ed180 is the newer circuit, why would they use the older 120 in their newest machine.

The ed180 circuit will allow the user to detect everything...including small iron.

The ed120 circuit detects everything above small iron.

If you're hunting for coins, and/or hunting in small iron nail/trash (for which the Bandido family is famous for), it's easier to set the 120 circuit to just knock out small iron nails...just turn it down.

The ed180 circuit is for a more 'general purpose' coin/relic machine...like the Tejon...to allow it to see all iron.

Hope this helps,
mike
