3 hunts this year and was in low 60's and threatened rain but cleared up.

1st and 2nd hunt got me a silver coin from worked out parks and today was no different but only a 47 Roosie but silver is silver and these parks have been worked well by real good hunters so happy at best...Actually it was about 10 inches and was an iffie at best but my deepest find was a 20's well crusted wheatie from about a foot and really fooled me as the depth gauge almost showed a thin line at best and thought for sure had a nice silver coin as didn't act like a wheatie..Well down 10-11 inches and signal went away and I just smiled as been there done that with deep coins and knew my next scoop of dirt would have my coin. This mid 70's guy is going to sleep well tonight as pounded for about 4 hrs...

For what its worth for years struggled between a CZ and Explorer and as the Explorer just gives me more info haven't used a CZ this year and sure my bod is sore but not my arm as guess I have learned to handle this heavy oldie but goodie and surely no weightlifter or young man.

I know unless I do some traveling my silver streak will end but heck having a lot of fun and hope other forum members are also....

[size=large]sorta know the feeling. haven't found any silver recently but keep finding coin when i don't expect to. this park was pounded for years before i got here and again by me and at least five others since i started two yrs. ago. still sqeaking out coins. hoping to find that one missed silver coin.

I know what you mean I pounded the ground for four hours myself yesterday with the E-trac with no silver and one wheatie to show for it. A lot newbies in my area and they all have E-tracs. Just wait until that new detecting show comes out this week on spike. Then there really will be a ton of newbees! I just hope they don't use shovels like most in this area as some sites are already shut down to this. I guess some guys don't care as long as they get their 200-300 or even 400? silver a year!
