12" Whites Super Coil

Kinda quiet out there these days so here is a question to get the conversation going;
Anybody out there use it and if so how's the performance?

I used it for certain applications. You can squeak out another inch or so, but it is tough to use in trashy areas or areas such as forests where your swing my be somewhat restricted. It is GREAT for farm fields because of its larger coverage area with each sweep.

I now use the SEF 10X12 so I have no more need for the Super 12 if you are interested in one.

What depth differences are you finding with your 10X12 SEF Coil verses the stock one that came with the V3? Also, do the VDI's typically read the same?

Thanks!

Depth is always a tough question. I have been detecting a site (for about 3 years) that most of the targets fall into the 4-8 inch range, so I have not found a noticeable difference yet. VDI numbers seem to be right on the money (no pun intended).

I have found the 10x12 to have slightly better trash separation than the stock D2. I also like the extra 2 inches per swing that the 10x12 gives me. It seems to have a slight edge over the D2 in its ability to pick out smaller targets in the range I mentioned. I have found some nice small buttons with it.

The disadvantage is it is a bit heavier than the D2, and I can't use TX boost with it.
