12.5" EXcelerator II / EQ2 Pro Search Coil

I have an opportunity to pick one up for a good price to use on my Sov GT. I'm currently using the stock 10" Tornado coil. . I haven't heard much on this forum regarding this particular coil, plenty on the SD-12 and others though. Can anyone fill me in? Below is an excerpt from a website with their pitch.

The 12.5" EXcelerator II / EQ2 Pro Search Coil
For Minelab E-Trac/Explorer/Safari/Quattro/Sovereign/Musketeer. One of the first "Increased Size" search coils, the 12.5" has generally resulted in adding 25% to 40% more depth versus a standard factory search coil. The 12.5" EXcelerator search coil does not stop at 25% or even 40% increased depth but has been reported single coin recoveries at 50% and in some cases almost doubling the depth of standard factory search coils. Use the 12.5" EXcelerator to recover even the smallest and thinest coins which are difficult if not impossible for other coils to locate. Not only have field tests shown an increased sensitivity to smaller, deeper items but more good targets were found with more frequency even in areas that have been thoroughly searched with many different detectors.

Only thing I've dug up is that it's a good coil and just about as light as the S-12. Some claim it's a tad hotter than the S-12, or at least I think I heard one guy say that. I think there used to be older versions of the Excelerators that didn't work as good but the EQ2 I think means they are the newer ones but am not sure. I think you don't hear much about them because the S-12 was out first and most people who wanted that size coil bought the Sun Ray already. I'd buy it if the price is right without hesitation. You might find more info on it in the beach forum. I dug through both forums to find all I could on all the coils a while back. Look for the word "Detech", Excelerator, etc and you'll find some info. Also try "12.5".

I've done a search and there's nothing on this coil that I can find, I'm surprised that no one has any information to share regarding it. I went ahead and purchased it, used 1 time for a hundred bucks. I'll post my thoughts after I had it out a couple of times.

I purchased a SunRay S-12 for my wife, used it on Saturday and found a nice platinum men's wedding band with gold ornamentation's and a diamond right in the middle. On Sunday I went back to the same beach with the EXcelerator and hands down the EXcelerator is a more synergistic match to the Sov. I found 2 gold rings, a 12k and a 14k. The Sun Ray required more messing around to keep the the threshold stable. It's been quite awhile since I've had a weekend like that. Summer's definitely here.
