12.5" Detech Excelerator E Coil Question

DD

New member
Hi guys,

Any of you know a bit more technical details on 12.5" Detech Excelerator E search-coil?

Some of the stuff I am interested in:

- Is this a DD coil?
- 5 Pin connector pin-out
- What is the inductance and Resistance of TX and RX coils?
(Measuring the resistance with the multimeter between pins on the connector would be helpful too)
- Wire gauge (TX & RX coils)
- Any other useful info you might think would be helpful

I am trying to find a good DD coil to be used with PI.

Many thanks

Come on guys,

I agree that this question might a bit too technical for general
user forum, but still it is fare from being unanswerable.

I thought that some of you that have these coils had some interest in
finding out how they operate (similar to driving a car without knowing that it has the engine).

Basically the main thing that I am asking here is that if you have this coil and simple multimeter, just measure the resistance between pins and let me know the values.

Nevertheless, a bit of fun is always good.

Best Regards
