110 Year Old Quarter

Louisiana Ken

New member
Back at the old 1820's circa house that I can't ever seem to leave and for good reason, it keeps giving. First pics shows 2 silver quarters I unexpectedly dug up. The 1902 (my first ever Barber quarter) and 1943 quarters made my day! Thought I personally hunted this place out over the past 11 years. I'm using TTF and manual sensitivity at what the etrac suggests or just below it. Had to keep adusting the sensitivity between 14 and 18. Both quarters were next to pull tabs at about 3 to 4 inches down. The next pic shows an old copper spoon that was about 8 inches down and at the time my sensitivity was manually set at 15. The next pic shows what looks like an old broach that I broke while digging it up and the last pic is a old very large eagle button (maybe WWI or II). Also dug a few memorial pennies, camp lead, bullets and scrap brass. I'll let you all know if I find anything else.

Good luck at your sites,

Kenny

I pulled a similar button like that today. If you clean it up and can read the manufacturer on the back, I can tell you if it's post civil War, WWI, or WWII. The one I found today was another WWI Eagle button made in Newark NJ. The other was also WWI made by The Austin Co. Hope you can see what it says on the back.

Very nice finds. That barber is in really good shape.:clapping:
