Went out for the second time , just patiently going down the crop rows trying to get as mutch covered as i can befor the farmer plows and plants, found a nice shunk of lead but three nails came up 1st then the lead , going on 6 ft down the row another nice signal and when i finally found it it was not another shotgun shell or pants button or rivit but an amazingly non coroded 1901 indian penny I think i may have found the hot spot who knows the sove is doing well

Nice Indian Head Cent Gunnar! I hope you somehow generally marked the area so you have an idea where you found it in the field. Where I found my 1894 IH cent, I look up and around the field and kind of lined up with an opening in the fence ( South) and a large flowering bush at the edge of the field (East) obviously it isn't exact but later on when I went back I found two wheat cents in the same area.

Question are you working the detector in all-metal or disc? I ask as I know you have read a speciality book on operating the sovereign and have been trying targets out in all-metal.

Some nice finds there. In the city that I live in the condemned a building several years ago. Since last Easter Sunday the city had it torn down. I will go over to the empty lot with my detector, and see what I can find. There is no fence around the lot so as far as I am concerned it's open game. Maybe I should call the city first.

I was using Iron mask ON no all metal, the funny thing abaout the GT is it will hit hard on coins on edge that in all metal will not sound good. and i know the spot well

good find i have a few of those from the beach 1876 1865 and on...
