Around Maryborough central Victoria (where I was born and bred). Found at about 3 feet and worth upwards of A$200,000

Lucky bum.

Chris.

...How about the finder? Rank amateur, astronomically lucky or hard core, hard working prospector whose persistence has finally paid off?

You would think that that place was well and truly hunted out by now! It just goes to show, there is no such thing as a hunted out spot.
That's going to be one happy hunter. What a cracker!
Mick Evans.

"OH GOD, YOU FOUND IT" Thanks for the post, I lost that nuggett last weekend, I rode down there on my 150 CC Scooter from Ontario Canada to show it to a friend and it just plain disapeared. Please just drop it in an envelope and mail it to me. Thanks in advance. Tucker

I think that whole continent is just one big nugget with people living all over it. Bet if you turned it upside down the bottom would be all gold.

What are ya saying Bill, my bottom is all gold ? Ha ha I wish ! The proper term down here for someone who is really lucky is tin a**s, not gold a**s. Bit of education in Aussie slang, hope you like it.

Chris.

This place is already upside down. We drive on the wrong (sorry, "left") side of the road, light switches are up for OFF, down for ON, etc. (I grew up in America and now live here, but still getting used to the upside-downness of the place.) They got some things right, though, like $1 and $2 coins!
