11" Round Widescan Coil for uMax

rabbit

New member
Who has experience with this DD coil? Nobody talks about that coil. Why? I have Euro Sabre 2 and when hunting wide farm fields with 9x8 stock coil, easily I get depressed and I wish for bigger coil.

Thank you

A great many detectorists spend much of their time coin shooting in parks, fairgrounds etc. Usually there is a good bit of trash in these locations and the standard and smaller coils do a better job of separating goodies from the trash. The Large coils are good for more ground coverage and several inches more depth, but are only truly useful in large, relatively trash free areas. I have both the 10X12 coil and an 11" concentric for times when those would be a plus, but actually seldom use them due to the trash factor where I often hunt.
My two bits.

I used the 11" concentric on my Deleon and it really worked great for farm fields. A very noticeable difference in depth, breathed some new life into the DeLeon

Above you mention 11 inch coil.
Maybe I am wrong, but I think that uMax 11 inch coil is DD and not concentric. At least this is what I understand about uMax coils.
Mostly I hunt farm fields.

I bought my 11" used and it is marked concentric. I haven't seen a concentric 11" listed on the Tesoro product page over the last several years.
