11" or 5x10" Hard to decide?

I find these coils allmost the same.I am guessing the 11" has better depth but by how much?
I bought the goldbug for use in the gold fields and I want a better ring/coin machine but so costly.
I want to upgrade the coil and really like the 5x10" but want all the depth I can get?

I am not sure if anyone has had a chance yet to test the new coils as I dont think there out for sale yet?

I am guessing in the future more coils will be made. These machines are so popular I hope aftermarket coils will come up also?

Cool Im glad the coils are out, wont be long for some test results from some of the experienced gold bug swingers.
I will have to see if my canadian dealer can get them yet.

I am really leaning towards the 5x10 I really dont think 1" would give you any more depth.

it will work better in the brush :detecting:

In my ground, which is bone dry now in SW Missouri, the 5x10 will be a good choice, at least for me as a relic hunter. It is razor sharp in the iron and the depth is real close to the 11" Biaxial. It glides over the hayfield stubble well. The jury is out still, as we need some more moisture in the ground to really test it. It does ground balance well and in all metal it is just as deep as the 11" coil. If anyone has used the 6x10 on the black box detectors from Oregon, it is real close to the performance to them, only better!!!..........MO

I do like the shape and size I find it real easy to pinpoint with coils that shape.I wont be using it in hot ground much but I do prospect alot and this is my new VLF nugget machine,so I think the 5x10 choice is the best.Im sure it will hit silver dimes at 8" in my ground when we get some moisture,

What!
I have to choose one?
Can't I have both?
This is so unfair.

You can have both LOL I cant afford to buy both coils and well kinda getting a whites V3 in the near future.......

does the 5x10 pinpoint the same as most ellipticals do by pulling it back and digging at the tip ?

My 5 zeros to the center awesomely well. The 5X10 is very narrow down the middle but seems to sweet spot about 3 or 4 inches along the center and dropping off the last inch or two before the tip. It Xs really well, not requiring pinpointing every time. I've never been much for tip targeting, but I guess I will get practice with the PI.
