11 Nickel Day on Sunday

floodplaindetector

Well-known member
I got these 11 nickels (1905-1960) sunday afternoon in a MN baseball field complex that was formerly housing on an old map. Most of the high tones were next to iron and somewhat choppy but the low tones
were pretty solid so whoever detected this site probably didn't have an Etrac. I concentrated on where I thought the front yards would have sat closest to the street.
Town is > 10,000 population. Coil used was the ultimate 13.

Congratulations on the finds. Thanks for the picture.

Wow! What a day for nickels!

That is the most dug nickles from one hunt I have seen in a long time!

Nice haul. New term had been "coined" by me. You've been NICKELED and dimed.
