11 DD pinpointing with the GBPRO

Any help on where this bad boy pinpoints on the coil.. I am used to 1994 tecnology so in an attempt to keep from digging giant holes I could use some pointers on this 11 DD coil...

If you look at the top of the coil just in front of the rod where the two connect you will see a small circle (dot), this is the pinpoint center.

Hope that helps.

Both BH_Landstar and amberjack are correct. When you detect a target keep swinging the coil and slowly pull coil toward you, it should start to lose sound at the tip of coil, then push coil forward while still swinging and sound should start to fade sound at heel of coil, this will put the target almost at the middle of the coil where the round spot is on the bottom of the coil. I use the tip of the coil and the target has always been there. HH

its interesting stuff these detectors they all seem to have their own personality no one is the same just from what i have read and from my small experience its part of the fun getting to know each other :detecting:

Locate the target and ratchet down using the PP button until you get a very small signal, that point on` the coil is the PP spot.
