11" DD Coil

I am new to MD and I use a BH Platinum. What benefit would I get from upgrading to a 11 DD Coil from the "Stock" coil? I got this MD for Christmas and absolutely love it. I ordered a Garrett pro pin pointer. Would the new coil complete my setup or am I good already?

I am not finding anything on the when I do a search. Where do you go to find the Archives?

The 11" DD coil will give you way better seperation on targets and a couple inches more depth than the stock 8" concentric. It also does better in mineralized soil, due to the narrow transmit area. I've tested the Platinum with both.

I just went to the BH main page here and searched for "DD coil" for all dates in the BH forum and got many hits.
