11" DD coil on landstar?

Just wondering if the 11" DD coil from the newer BH machines will work with the landstar.I have looked in older posts on the forum and a few claim it will.
As long as it is the old style push plug? While others claim this is not true? I could see maybe because of the DD design it may not work as all the other coils I have seen for the land star are concentric.Any thoughts-I would like a small DD and a large DD-I find I do better with these coils.Just trying to figure out what coils will work on this machine.

I now own a radio shack model similar to the landstar. My brother bought it and is going to use it.I own a fisher gold bug pro-but think I will enjoy the notch feature on this machine plus the lower sensativity.I may not get the depth of the GBpro but so far im very impressed as he only paid $30 for the machine and about $40 in gas to pick it up.

Just wondering if anyone has used the 11"" DD coil on any older bounty hunter machines with sucess-like a tracker 1V????

I have heard of a few people who have used them on the Bounty Hunter "Legacy" machines with great success. Dave J. says they will work, that is good enough for me :)

They work well on the Pioneer 505 which is basically a Landstar without manual ground balance knob.

Yes, the 11"DD works great on the Legacy 3500 too!
