11" Biaxial coil and Pinpointing

Matt look for the little circle impressed on the top of the coil just above where it attaches to the rod, that's the PP sweet spot. It might take a little practice at first, but after you get some time under your belt with it, it'll be like second nature and the pinpointing is actually surgical 98% of the time with the 11" DD coil.

HH,
Brian

take a small white dot and tape it over the circle so your eyes can visually see the spot while pp.... It helped me alot

the dot on the 11" DD coil is so hard to see when pinpointing the white dot will make a GREAT difference when you put it on there. sweep across the target from left to right and then turn your body 90 degrees and sweep it from left to right again be sure to keep your eye on the white dot and you can dig a small 3" plug in the sod and recover almost like doing surgery. :)
Good luck!

Another little trick when you learning.. well I do it all the time..

1. Find a target along one sweep..
2. turn 90 degrees over the target and resweep.. and it narrows it down to bang on the target.. about a square inch

Well, I learned something tonight. That "circle" on the standard F75 is just a black sticker with a black Maltese cross on it. I've never noticed it before and have never seen anything in any of the literature about it. Thanks!! I put a circle of masking tape over the spot and colored it with a red Sharpie.
I've never had any problem PP'ing with it, even before this revelation and without using the PP switch, but, I'm sure this will make things even better! (plus, my Garrett Pro Pointer comes in Monday. yay.)

I just mentally mark one line then turn 80 degrees and do it again and I can put my finger on the target. Checked it many times with the pocket uniprobe and it is spot on.
