11/8/24 hunt..

Went out for about 5 hours yesterday! I hunted chisel plowing that once had a baseball diamond and got a Merc and a Rosie along with some wheat cents. I then drove to another close by town where I have found Barber silver at the ball diamond in the past. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! Mid 50s and a light north wind! Perfect coin hunting weather! I hunted the field for a while turning up only some clad. Nearby there was a sand lot with modern wooden stuff for the kids to play on. I was already beat from walking the plowing but thought what the heck...This may be it for a while. I was shocked at what I found in there! 7 one dollar coins along with quarters, dimes, and pennies! I couldn't believe the number of coins recovered from such a small area!! Thanks for looking! Ted

Only hobby that pays for itself I always say,7 dollar coins..NICE.

You had a great hunt Ted!!!
Two nice silver coins and a great amount of clad including 7 dollar coins!! I’m happy to find two in a hunt….
Some years ago, a buddy and I stopped by a school for about an hour before calling it quits for the day… apparently that school had not been detected for a long time… we found lots of coins that were deep in the wood chip playground, and went back about a week later and found piles of coins in the grass areas… those sites are few and far between now.. at least for me.

Wow Ted!! You had a phenomenal day of detecting!

Thanks everyone! Since I was driving my old S-10 I actually paid for my gas! My last few hunts will probably be grassy areas due to the rain we have been getting. I'm too old to walk fields with extra mud clinging to my boots. It was a lot of fun digging that many coins and I sure felt it the next day! I was using my Equinox 900 in Park 1 and sensitivity cranked at 28 in the field and dropped it to 25 in the kids sand box. Thanks!! Ted

Great hunt Ted plenty of taco money too what I've done two dollar coins in one plug before but thats crazy what detector are you using now?
