10x14 coil for Sea Hunter Mkii

CIRCLEHOOK

New member
I currently am using a Sea Hunter Mkii with the 8" coil on the wet salt beach. I am thinking about getting the 10x14 coil for it.
Does anyone know what performance differences I can expect? Is it worth getting that coil?

I have the 8" mono coil and the 10x14DD for the Infinium which is very similar. I mostly use the 8" mono for three reasons.
1st: I use the Infinium almost exclusively for detecting in the surf and the 8" is easier for me to handle when the waves get rough.
2nd: It is easier to pinpoint the target with the smaller coil when in the surf
3rd: For the rare occasion I choose to use the Infinium instead of the CTX in wet and dry sand beach, the 10x14DD gets heavy really quick.
Performance wise, the 8" typically goes as deep as I want to dig. The 10x14DD goes really deep. Stability wise, I have only hunted on Sc, Georgia, and Florida beaches and a few plowed fields in Sc and have never had a problem with either coil.
