10x12 SEF Excelerator scores gold

I started my hunt a little to early today because I found the ground was a little frozen and the digging was somewhat difficult especially in the shade of a tree and I was hunting a park with lots of trees. I will hunt later in the day from now on and let the sun warm things up. Its getting that time of year I guess. I stayed in one park today and picked up some clad, a chain, key, cheap charm and a nice gold ring. I was using my 10x12 SEF Excelerator search coil, when I got a solid 18 VDI reading. I dug the target which was down about 4 inches and out pops this nice gold ring. It sure made up for the difficult digging. Thanks for looking. HH Dennis in Idaho

What is the odds of this???? I lost my ring many years ago while visiting friends in Idaho..........except my ring had an M on it.....

Great find Dennis.....:please:

Looks like you had a pretty good day Dennis, Nice looking ring.

Good amount of clad and a nice ring:thumbup:

Great finds there Dennis. And what a pile of pull tabs. It's always a bonus when you find a piece of gold! Nice ring! HH to all, Nancy

Hi Nancy. I hate pull tabs, but if you recall I save them for Ronald McDonald House and they go to a good cause. I have two jugs of pull tabs that I need to take to them. Besides if you don't dig those pull tabs you may be missing the gold rings. By the way have you been able to get out to that new site you found? HH Dennis in Idaho

Our other metal detecting club would save the tabs for the Ronald McDonald House also. It's a good cause. I'm admiring your old slot machines. VERY NICE!!!

We won't be going detecting today. It's cloudy, cold, and only 33 out. Tomorrow we're to be in the 40's, and hopefully we'll be able to play in the new yard. I was talking to the owner and she told me she was digging around the flowerbed and out popped a Buffalo nickel. :surprised: That sounds great to me. I'll keep you posted. Nancy

Here is a better photo of my slots. The brown one is a 1948 Buckley and the silver one is a 1922 Jennings. I can't wait to see how you do at that old site. HH Dennis in Idaho
