10x12 on the Vaquero/Tejon

I bought a 10x12 coil for my Vaquero about a year ago and I found it to be a little unstable in All-metal mode but worked O.K. in disc mode. I was wondering how other Vaquero users liked theirs?
Reading the threads I notice that the Tejon users really favor this coil and have really good results with it, some say it works great in all-metal mode. Just wondering what your experience with a 10x12 was like on the Tejon or vaquero. Especially if you own both machines I would be really interested to hear how you found the two machines benefited with the 10x12 over the stock coil.

I don't have one.

I've used one on a Cibola and Tejon. Mostly using discrimination with a little bit of all-metal hunting. Did not find it unstable in all-metal. If I recall correctly (it's been a while since I've used that coil) I think I ran sensitivity slightly lower than with the standard coil over the same hunting areas.

In discrimination mode with the Tejon, yesterday I was able to hunt with the cleansweep and standard coils in the middle of the red but not at full max (it would chatter at full max). I think I could run the 10x12 at 10 to the lower end of the red band when I last hunted with it at the same ball field. Have not done any side by side with the 10x12 and other coils. Have not hunted with the 10x12 in areas where I think it would be the best choice for a coil. Maybe when I can get back to the one old homestead that our daughter's in-laws own ...
