10x12 DD COIL ON THE VAQUERO

Anyone using a 10x12 DD coil on their Vaquero? Is it deeper than the stock coil? I prefer the concentric coils for my area, but Tesoro only makes the 10x12 coil in a DD configuration. Any pros or cons with the 10x12 DD coil would be appreciated. I want a larger coil for more coverage in the old groves
I hunt. My limited experience with DD coils is they don't discriminate as well as the concentric coils or pinpoint as easy. I have low ground minerals so don't need a DD coil for that reason. I will be coin and jewelry hunting with the bigger coil. I hate buy a coil and find it is the same as the stock coil
in performance....If the big coil offers the same performance as the stock coil I will get the 5.75 concentric coil instead.............Thanks...........

I have the 10x12DD for the Vaq and I would have to say that its definitely deeper than the 9x8 and has more coverage per sweep. With that said, I would only use it in an area without a lot of trash. It falses a lot and is heavier to swing. I have other detectors that I use for really deep seeking so I don't use the 10x12DD anymore. It discs OK but it takes a couple sweeps of the object or you have to sweep slow. If you are truly interested in buying one, PM me for 2/3rd the price of new. I only used it on 3 outings.
