Well...I finally did it...or should i say my Excal did...lol. FIRST GOLD RING EVER..Ive been detecting for 3 months here in Santa Cruz on the west coast...The Ring i just found is marked 10k with two more marks after it...Both pictures as far as i can tell....Wondering if anyone can help me decifer these marks...? The first one looks like a star, leaf, flower..? The second looks like two "M"s on top of eachother, or mountains, or seagulls...The silver looking band holding the diamond tested positive for 10k gold, is there 10k white gold, i thought it came in 18k mostly..? Was hoping for platinum...!Any Help would be appriciated..now im headed back to the beach...got a itch i have to scratch...hahahah...Happy hunting...!

my wedding band is white gold and its 14k. actually it says 4k but after 41 years of wear the 1 wore off.

Yes...yes i did....! Thanks everyone and a happy new year...ive been on the excal 2 for about 40 hours now... I feel like its starting to come together...learning the settings is the most important....The night before i found the ring...i was bummed on all the clad and only one earring that was a fresh drop, that i had found so far, I WANTED A GOLD RING..! So i re-read one of Clive Clynicks books...and broused the forum...When i was satisfied with the amount of New and refreshed info in my head...i tryed to lay down to sleep...That was tough..all i could think was the spot i was going to go to at day break and apply my new methods..The next morning i found it...in exactly were i was imagining it the night before... If only i could make that a regular thing....lol...
