1021 CZ-3D

I can't believe it. I spent i month looking for a 1021 CZ-3D and couldn't find one so I bought a newer one over the weekend. And then one shows up on the classifieds not only cheaper than the one I bought,But also comes with a 10.5'' coil! I must have the worst luck! At least mine was checked out by the owner with my advice on the dankowski test which it hits the clad dime at 11'' which is good enough. I still wish I waited unless it is that bad one that was for sale.

Man you lucky dog! I guess it's like the old saying good things happen to those who wait. But I thought I waited long enough. It least it went to someone who really wanted one other than some guy who bought it on a whim. Good luck!

I picked one up last week with 8" & 5" coil for $400 like new, not a 1021 but had been sent back to Fisher to calibrate it correctly and it does pass the Tom D. test. It's a keeper!

I had to send mine to tom after all. The depth test was o.k. at 11'' like the guy said,But the signal was all smeared and not sharp like it should be. And the nickel category's were off pretty bad. They stayed foil even in enhanced mode and the deep silver hits would bounce from high coin to zinc. instead of locking on high coin like it should. Oh well at least when I get it back I know it will be working correctly.

it will be like having a surgeons tool in your hands !!!

I got it back friday and took it out yesterday to a spot I hit with the E-trac. I hunted for about 2 hours with nothing. It was hot so I head back to the car and got that soft high tone I was listening for. I dug down about 8'' and there on edge was a paper thin Barber dime. It was a 1903-0. I can't believe the big E walked over it or maybe it was me. Anyways I was happy with the performance. I'm not set up for pictures so you will have to take my word for it as I don't tell ghost stories.
