Yesterday hit an old homestead that is way out in the woods. No sign of any buildings, just a lot of old fruit trees.Did find this old licence plate.Started raining and ran out of daylight.I have permission to hunt a property just up the rd from my house. This property is one of the only ones not to get burned by the Tillamook burn .It Still has part of the original house after 100 years,so tonight i stopped for a half hour hunt after work.Found several pieces of junk,BUT! i was able to come up with a 1945s nickel.

The property at over a 100 years should yeild some pretty old items for you .
Nice find in that old plate.

Way to go Jog. A friend and I went to an old house built in the twentys last weekend and a dance hall. Jim(poker jim) found a couple of wheats but nothing older. I just found junk and some clad.

Super! Keep us posted on how things go. HH to all, Nancy

I didn't even have that much luck. I hunted a sight that was also 100 + years old there were three different sights & have not even found one coin. I did get a small old bottle & 1 & 1/2 arrow heads. One was broke in half, so after the disappointment I headed to the fair ground & came up with 67 penny's 7 nickles, 13 dime, 14 quarters & 2 half's. the oldest coin was a 1951 nickle.

The owner of the second property told me that an older guy stopped by awhile back and told him that he lived there as a kid,and him and his dad had buried some old coins in jars next to some of the trees in the back yard.I have only been to this property two times.Haven't been able to spend much time there. But will be hitting it pretty hard before to long.
