I have not posted in a awhile even though I have been hunting so, what the heck.
Decided to go out with my buddy and I knew due to the dry conditions I had to be selective on my sites so, I headed to a place we had hit before.
Wow it was terrible as every sweep of the Lil grass angered every bug at which time they tore me up LOL.
I had ants crawling on me and I was pouring sweat like a fountain. Which of course the insects loved.
Well, being we had hit it hard several times it was just not a good day there so we headed to another old place with permission granted.
This ground was just as rock hard but, the plus side was it was shorter grass in most areas and like 1/2 tall.
So, I got lucky chiseling through the ground and was able to first dig a 09 Brenner (aw no S) right off the bat then next came a 14 Barber in nice shape.
Then after taking a break to cool down I was able to weasel a 99S Barber out of the ground.
Yep, I laid into her with the Lesche and gave her a permanent tattoo across the cheek. I was lucky even to pry her out of this ground so I will not complain.
All said for the short day in 100 degree temps with what was almost a day unbearable I dug a 39,19 and 09 Brenner, a 14 Barber and a 99S Barber.
I was very selective on my digs today only going after what where deeper targets sounding decent and not digging any nickel hits or oddities.
Also thought I would throw up a picture of a tree that was on the property which had been there since around 1900. It looked like the perfect kids climbing tree.
Here are the digs pics of the Barbers and then washed off at home.

Great finds.
Sun, we should be so lucky, don't think we have seen the sun since March. It was dry yesterday so I went out onto a local field, quite a bit of copper and brass, then I had a very good signal about 18in down, after some time I dug it out, a large brass tap.
Hope to get down the beach tomorrow
