100 coin day at the beach

I am generally on a Calif. forum. Since I used my wife's Fisher F2 on this hunt, I thought I would duplicate my post on this forum. I have been using the F2 as a back up for trashy sites and to stick the sniper coil in deep beach holes and around pilings. As you can see...it performs admirably.

"The honey-do list was huge because I had 3 days off in the middle of the week. But, I wanted a day to detect so I raced through the list like a coffee swilling beaver. I hit the beach (on the one cloudy and cooler day of the three) but what I lacked in sunshine, I made up for in targets. One hundred coins...only one wheatie in the bunch...copper to zinc ratio a respectable 50% ...a handful of tokens (modern) and a couple of interesting items. Of note is the pic of a cartridge embedded in rock and the pic of a piece of metallic slag (maybe it is just because I live in Monterey... but does anyone else see a sea otter there?)
All in all, a fun day at the beach.
HH
Rick"

Congrats on a great haul WTG! I don't know about the piece of slag but in the bullet pic it looks like a sea otter on it's back holding the cartridge.

Awesome finds..looks like the F2 works great on the beach..did you get any falsing from the salt holes..

Liquid,
I get some falsing from the very high concentrations of black sands on my area beaches...I can usually play with the sensitivity to get a point where I can hunt.

Cool thanks..So it should do as good as the ACED 250 on the beach..If not better..Your the first person I have read do a Beach review for the F2 unit..thanks..

Nice

Way to swing that thing Bro! I plan to start using my F2's 4" coil sometime next month. I can't wait to see how it performs. I've already scoped out some real trashy parks.

Nice finds!

and I DO see the otter.
