10 X 14 DD coil for MXT?

EROK

New member
Hey all I have an MXT with Stock coil, 6 X 10 DD, 4 X 6 DD shooter. I want and NEED a coil that will go deeper. I hunt a lot of fields and wooded areas looking for camps and any areas with CW relics. The ground I hunt is Moderate to high Mineralization The areas I hunt also have a mix of trash and some without much at all mostly Iron. I want a coil that will perform well in that type of soil, or in any soil for that matter. I live in Northern Occupied Virginia.

Thanks for your professional opinions

Hi Erok, I am not a professional by any means, but I do use the 10x14 DD Excelerator on my MXT and I use it quite a bit when I want to cover a lot a area. I have dug targets around 11 to 12 inches deep. It pinpoints great and the VDI numbers are accurate and I have been able to run my gain past the presets without any great amount of noise or chatter but I usually just run mine at the presets and it does very well. It would compliment the coils that you now have and just add one more tool to your arsenal. I think you would like it. JMHO.Good luck with your decision and HH Dennis in Idaho

I think you would be pleased with that coil for your style of hunting Erok. I use mine for the same reasons with my DFX and I don't know why you shouldn't get good results too with the MXT, maybe better!! Maybe not...................

Go for it.........
