i just stoped at the same small park and was able to search 10 minets befor geting rained out the M6 is really good at telling me what it is befor i dig it so simple to use im glad i got it i know it will really pay off some day im just getting warmed up its exilerating when you see a coin come up better than sitting in a bar all day getting drunk good hoby for an x alcohalic

Your finds look very clean. Are you only digging absolute locked on targets. As my finds get deeper The VDI gets more jumpy even though I know they are good targets. As the area gets more trashy the ID's will change for targets that are close to junk. Multiple coins will give odd readings. For instance guys will tell you nickels read 18-20 and if it goes to 22 forget it. I dug quite a few nickels jumping from 16 to 22 today. The minerals in the ground makes a difference. Start digging some of the marginal targets.

I see that Treasure Mike got two more nice rings that had tab readings. If I had only dug locked on targets I would have dug half the coins I did.

rcasio, no VDI will be consistent when mixed with trash or going deep. That's just the way visual displays can be.

How are your tones working? From my understanding the M6 will start to jump at 5" to 6" deeep on the VDI or around trash but the tones will provide a consistent reading going much deeper.

greg i just found another good spot ,(THE SUPERMARKET PARKING LOT ) up hear in minnesota the patrons come out of the store in the winter and drop thear change well the snow plow comes and plows it to the edge of the parking lot onto the grass great big piles of snow in the spring you know well i went over to test it out i did an earea 4 feet wide by 25 feet long and found 3 qurters 3 dimes and thats not the better part of it i have 10.000 sq ft left to cover and thats just one store that beats the farm by a long shot

Yes the coins are clean they came out of wood chips on a play ground and where very shallow i just brushed the chips aside i call it the easy spot i go thear after ive dug my self weary now the coins i dug today are green black they came out of grass & black dirt my vdi numbers are right on as well as the tone id i know when i have a qurter but yes i still digg the questible targets to clear the junk so its easear to scan the next time and im puprized im picking dimes up at 5" depth and its telling me its a dime i also love the toggle switch i hunt on tone ID then swich to all metal pinpoint this is a great detector

Yes ishn, I know about the VDI. I was just trying to see if Gunnar was only digging the lock ons which would mean he was only getting shallow targets. As Gunnar said in his last post his VDI's are right on. My point was if you are only digging right ons then you are missing targets.

I use a MXT not a M6. Even Whites is not claiming the accuracy of their VDI at greater depths as some people are claiming. I would have to look what they are claiming. If I do I'll add it later. Good hunting Rob
