A CScope R1 and a Whites hoard hunter, but i think over the 30 years that they have been detecting the field, they have used quite a few detectors.

it appears that the whites TM808 might have cracked the problem ,as it was about 3 feet down ,over those 30 years we can assume that they didnt have the right tools to hand until they got the whites. maybe if they had used it sooner it wouldnt have taken 30 years ,but thats supposition until we find out more detaills
