10% IRID. PLAT?? Don't know where else to post.

A little background. I was going through some of my deceased (1990) mothers things and found her wedding ring (looking for targets to play with under the MD coil). It appeared white gold with 18 small diamonds. Three of them are chipped but a few fluoresce bluish under UV light. On closer inspection, I noticed it says 10% IRID.PLAT inside the ring. Any info would be appreciated. I know they make rings out of Platinum, but Iridium?? HH Joe
