10" elliptical question

one thing that's been bothering me a bit is First Texas saying that technically that coil was tuned to the F70 & really should be re-tuned to the F75 or something to that effect. I had heard that about CZ's too awhile back. Once I heard that, I have been sorta sticking to just the F75 stock which is really a super all around coil you can't go wrong with....
Funny you posted this, because we have been working a Colonial field this week, & I have thought about using that coil (even brought it Mon. on the lower rod but never tried it). What I think I will do to settle this once & for all is bring both coils out to the field & when I get a weak signal I'll switch coils & see if one hits better than the other. Often you don't even see a discernable difference, but it should be a good test anyhow..........
HH,
Bill

Thanks Bill, I have one on the way. I live in TX and the concentric coil look like they work better here. I have 3x6 & 5"DD and I like the 3x6 better, so I'm going to see about the large coils??

Will it have to be re-tuned to the F70 or should I just stick with the stock 70 coil? I live on the Texas Gulf Coast with minimal ground minerals. HH

& I have been using it with success,,,,,it's a question for an engineer as I saw on a post where someone at Fisher was saying that....
