10" DD whites coil

I've been running my mxt wih the 10"DD and have noticed that its a deep coil but on the targets less than 2 inches penny sized it overloads and actually blanks constantly ..anyone else notice this or do I have a bad coil? I got mine on the first run.. its virtually useless in heavy iron because of all the overloading.. my 10x12 excellerator does not do this??

I have the new 10 dd and havent had this problem, maybe a few times on large stuff close to the surface/coil. I'd think thats normal though. That's with the gain at preset in hot soil too. Hope this helps. Maybe you just got a bad one.

I run my gain between 6&7 only because I don't want to dig deep on the soccer fields I detect.
BUT............. this is my second 10" DD. I also got one of the first ones and it was defective. White's
replaced it with no problem, I'd call White's if I were you.
